Deeply influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Albert King, Freddie King, Eric Clapton and John Mayer, he focuses on expressive phrasing and touch-sensitive playing rather than technical excess. His sound is shaped by Stratocasters, tube amplifiers and a constant search for feel over perfection.

Alongside his musical development, Gerbman is also a business administration student, bringing structure, discipline and long-term focus into his work as a musician. This combination of musical passion and professional mindset shapes the way he approaches both music and performance.

Based in the Netherlands, he continues to build his name through live performances, jam sessions, original music and a growing body of online content.

One of his first real moments on stage came at the age of 10, playing live in front of an audience for the first time. That moment still lives on the site as a reference point — where it all started.

Origin

The Beginning

The connection to guitar started early. Long before live shows and band rehearsals, Gerbman was already drawn to the sound of electric blues guitar. What began as curiosity quickly grew into a daily practice and a lasting dedication.

One of the earliest known photos of him playing electric guitar dates back to January 17, 2015, during his first lessons. From that moment on, the focus was never just on learning songs, but on understanding sound, phrasing and feel.

For years now, his teacher has been Rotterdam guitarist Niels Onstenk, conservatory-trained and named Best Guitarist of the Netherlands in 2013 (Radio 2 / Gitarist). Week after week, those lessons sharpened the touch, the tone and the timing you hear on stage today.

Over the years, that early fascination developed into a clear musical direction centered around blues.

Roots

Blues Influences

Gerbman's playing is firmly rooted in the classic blues tradition. The phrasing of B.B. King, the authority of Albert King, the drive of Freddie King and the fire of Stevie Ray Vaughan form the foundation of his style. Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer further shaped his understanding of tone, dynamics and musical freedom.

These influences are not just references, but part of the framework through which he approaches guitar playing. His focus lies in dynamics, articulation and making every note carry weight.

Rather than copying the past, he uses these influences to build a sound that feels authentic in the present.
